During Bamiléké tribal ceremonies, Juju hats were worn by royal dancers and a select few as a sign of distinction and honour. They symbolized prosperity.

Juju hats are handcrafted by FARDASS in Cameroon, made from natural or dyed feathers of guineafowl and woven raffia.

Nowadays they are used as a wall decoration, opening like a blossoming flower.
